We invite you to discover Huerquehue National Park, one of the most beautiful in Chile!
With over 12,500 hectares of protected wilderness, this park is a true sanctuary of biodiversity: ancient araucaria trees, coigües, lengas, ferns, lichens, mushrooms… plus crystal-clear lagoons, waterfalls, and native wildlife such as Magellanic woodpeckers and foxes. 🐾💧
You can choose between two hiking routes, depending on your level and what you’d like to explore. Each one offers unique landscapes and a deep connection with nature. 🍃
Los Lagos
This adventure will take you through four lagoons and two waterfalls, as well as amazing viewpoints overlooking Villarrica Volcano and Tinquilco Lake. We will take a break for lunch on the shore of a lagoon, where it is also possible to swim in summer. 🌲 The trails are open all year round, although in winter we may need snowshoes or mountain boots for the hike.
The “Los Lagos” round-trip trail is 12 km long with an elevation gain of 730 meters.
This hike is suitable for everyone, as in a private or small group, the route can be adapted to each participant’s fitness level — adjusting trail choice, pace, and breaks, or shortening the distance if needed.

San Sebastián trail.
The trail will take you to the breathtaking San Sebastián viewpoint, located at 1,800 meters above sea level.
Along the way, you’ll hike through ancient araucaria forests, and from the summit, you’ll enjoy spectacular panoramic views of the surrounding volcanoes — Villarrica, Quetrupillán, Quinquilil, Lanín, Llaima, and Sollipulli. If you are lucky enough, you may even catch a glimpse of the majestic condor.
This route is more challenging due to the significant elevation gain, ideal for experienced hikers seeking adventure and incredible scenery. It is closed during winter, because of too much snow on the way. 📏 The trail is 14 km round trip with an elevation gain of 1,250 meters.

How to book a trip.
When can I go?
- Season: All year for “Los Lagos” trail, only during summer for “San Sebatián” trail.
- Weather conditions: We only carry out our excursions under favorable weather conditions. In case we have to cancel an activity, we will refund 100% of your money.
Recommendations:
- We recommend that you are in good physical condition for the hike. Los Lagos is open for the whole family. The difficulty is low in summer, and medium in winter. San Sebastián has a medium dificulty.
- Our insurance covers climbers up to 70 years old.
