📍 We will meet at the Ermitaño Expediciones agency, where our guides will introduce themselves and help you prepare your equipment for the day.
🚌 We’ll then start a 3-hour drive to reach 1,200 meters above sea level, the starting point of this incredible adventure.

🧗♂️ Before starting the adventure, our guides will give you all the necessary safety instructions and get the group ready for the ascent.

🕒 The ascent to the summit takes approximately 5 hours, depending on the group’s pace and the day’s conditions.
❄️ During winter, the entire volcano is covered in snow.
In mid-summer, snow covers around 30% of the route.

During the climb, you’ll take several short and long breaks — perfect for resting, eating, adjusting your gear, or capturing stunning photos. Your guides will always be by your side to ensure your safety and share fascinating insights about the landscape, the volcano and its surroundings.

🏔️ From the summit, you’ll enjoy an unforgettable panoramic view of this glacier hidden among the mountains — a natural gem that surprises at every step!
🌤️ If the weather permits, we'll have the opportunity to eat lunch at the summit and rest for 20 minutes.

⛷️ (Winter only) The descent becomes a unique and fun experience. Fully equipped, you’ll slide down the snow in an adventure that can last up to 30 minutes, depending on terrain conditions.
🥾 The final section is done walking over snow or volcanic rock. If there’s little snow or conditions aren’t favorable, the entire descent will be done on foot.

🕓 We’ll arrive back at the Ermitaño agency around 9.00 p.m – depending on the season and the group.
🏁 At the base of the volcano, you’ll be welcomed with a refreshing drink and snacks to celebrate the experience and recover your energy after a beautiful day in the mountains.

- Transportation from Pucón.
- Entrance to the Villarrica National Park.

- Backpack 35L.
- Helmet, ice axe, crampons.
- Hiking poles.
- Shoes,gaiters.
- Waterproof jacket and pants.
- 3 pairs of gloves.
- Sunglasses.
- Equipment for the descent (sledge).
- Beer or juice and a snack.
What is not included.
- Food: sandwichs, fruits, nuts, cookies, chocolate etc + 1,5L of water. Plastic bag for your garbage.
- Sunscreen. Sunscreen and sunglasses.
- Comfortable clothes: high socks, pants, base layer top, fleece sweater, and warm jacket.
- Optional:
- Gloves.
- Hat, beanie.

When can I go?
- Season: All year. During summer (January to February), there is a high demand for this activity so we recommend that you book with anticipation.
- Weather conditions: We only carry out our excursions under favorable weather conditions. In case we have to cancel an activity, we will refund 100% of your money.

- Our insurance covers climbers up to 70 years old.
- We recommend that you are in good physical condition for the activity. Previous experience on the mountain is not necessary.
